Yes. SnapMonster is free to try and you can create your first monsters without signing up. A free account unlocks more energy to generate, collect and battle.

What photos work best?

Any clear photo of a single object works — a mug, a houseplant, your sneakers, a toy, your pet. The clearer the subject, the more the AI has to work with when designing your monster.

Do I need to know how to draw?

No. The AI generates the monster's artwork, name, element and stats for you. You just take the photo.

Can I battle the monsters I generate?

Yes. Every monster has an element and stats, so you can battle a friend in a private room or fight the CPU. Elements counter each other, so team-building matters.
